festive mystery knitalong
general info
The mystery knitalong will be hosted by Joona Höri and me during the month of December.
We will be knitting a new, secret pattern designed by Joona over the month of December. There will be four pattern clues that we will email your way each weekend in December so you can have a finished pair of socks for the holidays.

The pattern is a cabled sock pattern called "Kuura Socks" that was exclusively designed for the MKAL. Every clue will feature a new texture so there are not repeats from one clue to another.
The sock pattern comes in two sizes for the foot circumference and is adjustable in length. It is knitted from the cuff to the toe.
The skill level is more intermediate due to the different cabling techniques. However, the textures flow nicely and feel very natural and intuitive to knit. The cables come charted only.

yarn info
The yarn used for this MKAL is our Ovis Sock base, a fingering weight, non-superwash and plastic free sock yarn with a higher twist.
One 100g skein is enough for a pair of Kuura Socks regardless of size including some extra for swatching.
However, you are also welcome to use stash yarn to participate. It is advisable to maybe choose a grippy yarn with a little bit of a light to medium colour to work well with the pattern.
The pattern is available as an individual download without obligations to buy yarn.

Box Launch: 8th of November, 8pm CET

Just a few last info bits here:
The pattern will be available individually and as part of the box. Both will be available on my website and I'll put a date here once you can start buying the individual pattern.
Clues will be sent via email every weekend in December. If you purchase the box now, the pattern clues will also be coming your way via email after November 29th.
If you purchase the pattern while the MKAL is running already, you will automatically receive the instructions with all clues that have been published until then.

You are welcome to post your progress on the MKAL pattern on Instagram. However, to not give away too much to others, we are asking to post a spoiler warning before sharing any pictures.
